After spending two and a half years on one of the biggest music breakfast shows, in the most competative market in the country, I have made the decision to resign from Jacaranda fm and grab an opportunity in Talk Radio for the following reasons:
1. For those who regularly listened to my shows, you will know that I am outspoken and talk radio gives me the opportunity as a journalist to indulge in my passion of speaking my mind on issues of principle, and basically everyday life experiences, stirring some good debate. This is the nature of 702 and I am extremely happy to be part of the team again.
2. Family is extremely important to me, and with me broadcasting on both Talk Radio 702 and 567 Cape Talk, on the Talk at 9 show, I am able to spend more quality time with my boys, which this early in their lives is extremely important.
3. Business -wise, myself and well-known jhb businessman will be launching Kieno’s Low GI food products, as there has been a big demand from people across the country wanting to know how I lost 20kg’s in 6 months, and managed to keep it down.
The products being Low GI will enable people to grab great tasting, healthy fast food, that can aid them in weight loss. I also have a TV cooking show that is due to take off early in the new year, along with other TV possiblilities.
While my main focus will be radio, Talk Radio 702 is giving me the freedom to develope my television presence as well.
So I look forward to stirring great debate, with a show that will look to egage all your God-given senses.
